Brand Spotlight: Vassarette

Vassarette was founded as the Vassar-Swiss Underwear Company of Chicago in the 19th century.  They were known then for manufacturing men’s ribbed union suits and women’s under garments. The parent company, Munsingwear, created the Vassarette label in 1951. Today, Vassarette is owned by Vanity Fair Brands and is still making a variety of styles of bras and panties.

Among the Vassarette bra offerings are lace push-up bras, microfiber wirefree bras, gel lift and underwire bras and extreme plunge styles. Customers praise the Vassarette fit and also love the modest price point.  The brand’s bras are known for a comfortable fit, with a back design that doesn’t ride up and cups that hold breasts in place.  Especially popular are their padded and cleavage-enhancing styles.

Vassarette panties are also very popular. Styles include high cut briefs, hipster panties and bikinis. They also make a shaping panty which is available in regular cut or high-cut.  The sleek stretchy fabric provides light control that is just right for a smooth silhouette. Customers love how smooth and comfortable these panties are.
