Confessions Of A Curvy Girl: Life In Yoga Pants

Confessions Of A Curvy Girl There are several things I want to teach others before my time on this planet is through: how to cook a healthy meal for your family, how to help others in need and how to look great while also being comfortable.

I would not go so far as to say I am an expert at any one of these, but if you were to ask me I would tell you I am somewhat skilled in at least two of the three items above. I am a food writer by trade and a master of comfort by choice.

I think it is possible to look great by wearing a pair of yoga pants, and not look like you just left the gym. First start off with the right size. For one thing no one, and I mean no one, wants to see every contour of your body when you waltz around wearing pants that are too tight. Trust me when I say that no one wants to see that!

Then go with a trustworthy and quality brand. You want them to last longer than three washes, keep their shape and also retain their color. I have found three styles that I love HERE , and they do not make me look frumpy. That is the key.

When I am rushing around living life, running errands, working in the house and occasionally meeting friends for coffee, I don’t want to feel like the fat girl in tight pants. A bad pair of athletic pants will do just that. Be realistic about your size and work with what you have. Put your comfort first and your fashion will follow suit. Comfortable people just look better. Do you know why? They are happier and more confident.

What is YOUR idea of comfort?
