Confessions Of A Curvy Girl: A Gift For Yourself

Ugh, I hate to even think it, but it’s nearly December. By now you are narrowing down your shopping list and knocking items off of your gift list left and right. Getting to the store early for the best sale, scanning websites for deals and hiding gifts where no one will find them.

I have someone you need to add to your list this year—YOU. Yes, you. I want you to do one thing for yourself because you need to. Take a moment to make one purchase that gives you confidence, brightens your day and makes you happy.

What should your gift be? What is one thing that you could get that would not only lift your spirits, but give your confidence a boost? For me, it was one, good slimming tank. I realized that I was dressing in layers all of a sudden and becoming more self conscious of my ‘side fat’. It was coming between me and doing things that I loved. I avoided places and people because of these rolls. They are me and I love my body, but not these.

It almost gets worse the more weight I lose. After losing about 28 pounds this year, I have ab flab a plenty. So I invested in 3 slimming tanks to wear under certain shirts and dresses. One of the best things I have done in a while.

A supportive, shapewear tank is the best base layer you can put on underneath your clothes besides a girdle. I am kidding about the girdle, but you get where I am going with this. Not only does it make me feel trimmer, but it makes my shirts look less ‘lumpy’ and that, my friends, is the gift that keeps on giving.
