Some people hide it while others flaunt it. Shoppers dread the harsh lights, impersonal fittings and will go to great lengths to avoid the experience. You may think I am talking about buying a swimsuit. You would be wrong. I am talking about the experience of shopping for a bra.
There is a reason we call it ‘intimate apparel.’
Somewhere along the line, our culture has taken one of two paths: put it all out there for everyone to see or act ashamed of what we have beneath our clothes.
In short – we are either drowning in layers of clothes or letting it all hang out.
In the last few weeks I have been really paying attention to the ladies around me – not in a creepy way – but in an objective and educational way. Tall, short, heavy or thin, it didn’t seem to matter, there are just some women who can put it all out there and others who are just wanting to hide something.
Does is have to be this way? Maybe, just maybe, we can start at the beginning and see where the issue lies. Where do you start when you dress? With your foundation: bra and panties.
