For many years my size has fluctuated due to many factors that many of us can relate to. Weight gain, having children, yo-yo dieting are just a few of the obstacles I have faced in my journey to good health and general physical fitness. I am not all about the numbers but rather, I focus on how I feel, my muscle tone and in certain areas- how firm and toned my body is.
What I mean by that is arm jiggle, saddle bags, muffin tops and side and back cleavage. As unappealing as that sounds, the truth is as we age the parts we do not exercise get soft. Even worse – they jiggle.
One simple way to look smoother and less jiggly is to wear the proper size underwear and bra. It really is that simple. If you are spilling over the sides of your bra, then you need a bigger cup. If the band rides up you need a smaller band and quite possibly a bigger cup. Don’t go up in size because you are uncomfortable. You maybe need to be fitted. Do not guess and buy. For a purchase as important as this you need to make an informed choice.
Never underestimate the power of a well-fitting bra (and waist cincher or body shaper) and the confidence you will feel by looking your best from underneath out. This holds true if you are an A cup or a triple D. One of the best gifts I have given myself was the four well-fitting bras I recently purchased. I set aside about an hour, measured myself and ordered the base to which I build many an outfit around.
Looking good and feeling confident are some of the best gifts you can give yourself. Start today by learning a few bra fitting tips on self measurement.
